mAniC mOndAy - dAy fOURteeN

oh monday...how i hate thee...let me count the ways...1. still don't have water 2. have to go back to work 3. do i really need to give three reasons??? i think numero uno is enough in and of itself. this IS the 21st century right? we're on day 5 of no water. landlord is supposedly doing the 'best' that he can. won't let us call a trustworthy plumber. we HAVE to use his guy. 'his guy'...the one that didn't even show up yesterday...right...that one...yay (again, insert sarcastic font here)

walked over to the neighbors to fill buckets so we could at least flush the toilet and then it started to storm. tried to get a pic of the rainbow after the storm but you can just barely make it out.

after the storm.

I REALLY NEED A NEW CAMERA! this little dark spot in the middle of the field is a fox. he darted out of the woods in our backyard and across the field into the corn. he looked really wet and really scared...though you can't tell from this pic.

the storm looked even creepier as it moved away then it did before it came. loved the clouds. all in all, besides the fact that we still don't have water, it wasn't that bad of a day. hung out with Kim, Dan, and our neighbor, Bob, for a while. Watched some NCIS until the electricity went out from the next storm that came thru and went to bed. Hope Tuesday is better...

woke up not as early as saturday. did not run. the alcohol consumption from the day before prohibited this. spent most of the morning trying to figure out where we were going to go for brunch and whether or not we were going by boat or by car. turns out we went by car to the clarion. brunch was not their forte by any means, but it was better then nothing.

breakfast of champions for the second day. orange juice instead of water this time, coffee, bloody mary. the bloody mary was really spicy, and not great, but it was only $2.50 so i couldn't really complain. buffet was cold...but my omelet was delish. but i ate it before i could take a pic of it.

so instead you get a picture of what was left of my home fries and my cream chipped beef...

Lennie B Lennie hides from the camera...we don't know why.

came back from brunch stuffed. decided to walk the beach. it wasn't sunny enough to lay out and we'd had enough sun from the day before. came back from the beach and decided to journey home. it took us an hour to get from OCMD to Rehobeth. next time i will take monday off and stay another day. sunday funday turned into 'sit in traffic til i want to set someone on fire and put them out with a pitchfork" day. finally got home at 9pm only to find out we still don't have water...yay (insert sarcastic font here).

breakfast of champions. water, coffee, bloody mary.

we woke up relatively early for a saturday and went running. about a mile and a half i'd guess, though i didn't clock it. went back and enjoyed bloody mary's, water, and coffee. eventually made eggs & sausage and got ourselves ready for the boat. there was a small boat advisory so we had to stay in the bay. i was glad for this since i have a history of seasickness. no good.

got on the boat, which i was afraid of first and started out...

stopped for fuel, and then at seacrets...i should have taken a pic of this really but instead i will do my best at describing it to you. imagine the bay at seacrets...now imagine not being able to see the water because of the seriously massive amounts of intoxicated people in the water...now imagine being in that water, drinking and having to pee. do you get OUT of the water to go the restroom? i wonder... i was glad for the taxi boat. for a moment i thought we were going to have to walk into the pee and cigarette infested water...gross.

took the boat in, had some really really really good jerk chicken and bruscetta while we people watched and stared in disbelief at what some girls will do to themselves, and then got back on the boat and headed for the chowder beds.

my two favorites...smellin' LN and Johanna Banana.

heh...floating heads.

you can't see it very well...but Dan is holding three 'chowder' clams in one hand...at most i can hold two. had so much fun with the three of them. my feet hurt a little from digging in the sand for clams, but it was well worth it. pretended to fly on our way back. probably almost got tossed from the boat a few times, though i'm sure i would have felt nothing. alcohol is amazing in it's numbing abilities.

ordered enough food to feed a small militia and nearly slept thru the delivery guy. watched a movie. LN and Dan watched it with their eyes closed. they have talent. decided not to go out that night. the alcohol consumption during the day was a little absurd...wait...that's not possible.

left for the beach around 5-5:30. traffic wasn't really that bad. made a couple of stops at the market and the liquor store. two essential stops mind you. grabbed some fresh tomatoes and nuts at Hershey's Farm market and some sweet tea RASPBERRY vodka at the wine & spirits across the street...yum...and headed out. vodka and tomatoes don't really go well together, but it's what i wanted.

got to LN and Dan's around 8:30pm. we beat them there. HA. though i was sort of driving like a maniac. we got there in one piece. that's all that matters right? the drinking started and lasted all weekend, though this is what caught my eye when we first walked in the door. i have a new found love for Red Stripe Light...yeah...i know...weird.

Lennie B Lennie and Smellin' LN. two of my favorites.

angry little Montgomery Burns.

we drank some, tried to play a game which called for absolutely no inhibitions, can't remember what it was called, and went to bed. great start to a fantastic weekend!!
