September 16, 2010 - dAy fouRTy-fIVE

thursday schmirzday. thirsty thursday usually. we stayed in tonight though. i cleaned the house and did laundry so that i could pack for friday night. i'm leaving with Joh to go to Scranton to see Johathan Ryan Lupton!-Heather and Russ's new addition....and of course big sister, Ally Rose! can't wait! got hoagies from Michaelangelos and drank some suds. to be honest, my camera battery died and i couldn't take a picture today... :( i'll have to add a day to my year and do 366 days instead of 365 days. but here are a couple of pics i took a while back after a storm. part of a tree fell in our backyard...it's still there. just a'danglin'...

can't really tell from this angle...

there...that's better...better pic anyway...not better situation...

Bird's target practice...i think he's ready. Took this pic wednesday actually, but it didn't go with my dog playing theme...

can't wait for tomorrow...

wednesdays are always better then tuesdays. hump day! came home from work and Bird brought home pizza. sat around for a while and then decided to go to Joh and Craig's for more quoits. i know...borderline obsession with this game. but in all fairness, Bird is in a tournament with Charlie, Dad, Uncle Charlie and some others this weekend, so they need all the practice they can get. got to hang out with Joh, Nicole, Brady Johnny, and Blue (Joh and Craig's new addition whom i FORGOT to take a picture of...bummer). had a good time sluggin' suds and taking shots of the sac-o-wine that Nicole brought. Good night.

took some pics of the dogs playing before we left for Joh and Craig's. she's fast...real fast...and Joe is just fat and cranky i've decided...he just chases her and barks at her. but he'll never catch her

kinda blurry. she's so fast i could bearly catch her.

yes 'mam...that's 82 lbs of pure muscle comin' right AT me!!! and JoePetie following behind, slower then molasses in January.

this is her favorite game. piss off Joe enough so he chases her. works everytime too.

late night couch love...ok...so Bird took this one...

tuesday. better then monday i guess. went to work.. it was same shit bigger pile. not a very good day for me all around. except that we went to Jen and Charlie's for dinner and quoits. always a good time with them! ate hotdogs and hamburgers and a salad and then ate dessert and talked with Jen, Mom, Johanna, and Emma while Bird, Dad, Charlie, and Craig played quoits. early night really. went home talked with Bird for a while. did a shot of whiskey to relieve the throat and then went to bed...but don't worry, i took a pic of dessert before we ate it all!!

sugar cookies...yum. i think i ate most of them...

and pudding. it's been a long time since i had pudding, and come to think of it...i don't think i ate any while we were there. shame really, because i think i like pudding...

monday. damn monday. today i decided that it's time to find a new job. a must. i'm tired of watching the money come in and go back out as fast if not faster. i want there to be something left over...a girl can dream right? what would i be without dreams? went to work schmirk as usual. though i should have stayed home. still feel like crap and i hate it. being sick is worse when you're an adult. not only to you miss the things you want to do, but you stress over the things that you need to do, but can't because you're sick...at least when you were a kid, you got to watch movies and eat ice cream and snuggle with your mom...you're biggest worry (and really it was your mother's, not yours) was whether or not you were missing something important in school... came home from work and cooked dinner. meatloaf. i like meatloaf, but i've come to find out it does not photograph very well. kinda gross looking actually. oh well. only took the one...cause i'm sick...and i hate everything...

hung out with Kim for a bit. she came over to bring me the nettie pot (sp?), this contraption that allows you to poor warm, salty, zincafied (a word i just made up meaning: zinc added) water up into your nasal cavaties (not to be confused with teeth cavities). basically it shoots up into your sinuses and gets all the gross stuff out. you might say, "i don't want to know what's up in there when i'm sick"-and you'd be right. i didn't want to know. but this feeling was overpowered by my need to rid my body of this disease that has taken over. yet another gross thing one must face when sick. i don't like it. kinda feels like drowning, but not really. made me feel better for a while though. watched the phils and went to bed. the end of a crappy day...

meatloaf. at least i got to eat something nutritous. if meatloaf is nutritous that is. it was better then soup. i don't like to eat soup when i'm sick.

sunday funday. E-A-G-L-E-S-EAGLES!!!...cept they didn't do so hot... watched the phils from home and then went to mom and dad's for dinner and the eagles game. i'm not a huge football fan the way Bird is, but i do enjoy a game here and there. had fantastic leftovers! i made baked pineapple for the first time and it was delish. at least i think it was delish. everyone else said that it was. i couldn't taste it...still sick...blargh!!! this is really getting old...

she's bashful. always tries to hide when i try to take her picture. she doesn't know how beautiful she is even though i tell her everyday.

a tribute to my sickness...i've had more ginger ale then can possibly be good for you...

saturday was a day of reflection. had our family reunion on mom's side of the fam. love those people! we should really get together with them more often. they only live an hour away. but this is the first time in...oh...idk...2+ years?? too long if you ask me. we did a lot of talking, some guitar playing, and Bird built a fire cause it got cold after a while. I love the fall. my favorite time of year by far!...oh...and here's the new addition to our family!

meet Nathan! he is squishable! <3 him.

serious punk rocker hair in the making. i can hardly handle his fuzzy little head! too cute.

today was a bad day...that's all i got...

September 9, 2010 - dAy thiRTy-eiGHt

thursday. thursday was not very eventful. i was sick. like stay at home sick. no good. got a lot of sleeping done, but not a lot of pictures or blogging. not much else to say really except that i hate being sick. not that i know too many people who enjoy it. come to think of it, i don't know anyone who enjoys being sick...

Bird made spaghetti for dinner...didn't eat much...couldn't taste anything.

the lazy dog that shared the couch with me all day...i think this might be considered upside down, but it's how i took the picture originally...strange what one does while sick...

September 8, 2010 - dAy thiRTy-sEvEN

wednesday. work schmirk. then straight to Manda Panda's for dinner with her and Kimusabi for Kimusabi's day of birth. she made pork tacos. it's a good thing i love tacos...LOL. ate dinner, looked at wedding photos and then watched a movie-something about the Morgans?...can't remember the title. cute movie. one Bird would definitely not watch with me. too girlie for sure. but cute none the less. it was all about sister love...

that and her seriously large cat...22 pounds baby...22 pounds of pure mean...

he did seriously LOVE having his picture taken though...

September 7, 2010 - dAy thiRTy-siX

today i'm thankful that my sister Kim was born. she's like my second mom. so it was a good day! except for the part where i had to go to work. oh, and the part where this is the day i started to feel sick. blargh... so i went to work schmirk and then went home and made tacos! yum... then Bird and i went down to ruffini's to celebrate the new location for open mic on our off tuesdays from the beaver. i prefer ruffini's to the beaver, so this makes me happy. it was also our friend Kenny's b-day. so it was a celebration all around really.

Nicola Ricola and Brady Johnny's eyeball. i told her to come close. wanted a pic of her and Johnny. instead she did what i said literally. so naturally...i took a pic of this ridiculousness.

oh...i swear she wasn't drinking this beer...but it sure does look that way...lol

birthday girl and me. good one Kimusabi.

this is what we look like when we play.

somehow, Kyle didn't make it in the last pic...so now he's got his own spotlight pic. snazzy.

Joe on the guitar.

Tommy on the Dobro. very cool.

and his B.E.A.utiful wife Heidi.

all in all it was a very good time. stopped at wawa on the way home and then crashed. good day.

September 6, 2010 - dAy thiRTy-fiVE

monday. turns out i kept thinking it was sunday funday and it wasn't. so i called it monday funday and i've finally found a monday that i like. coming home kinda sucked, but at least i wasn't at work. we didn't do much this day either except clean up and get ready for the ride home. found another spider though...

fat juicy little fella. just a daddy-long-legger...but i still like him

drift wood always makes for fun pics...

i decided after a while that i wanted to take a walk. wanted some different pics. some i've never taken before of up there.

idk...some kind of bug skin...looked cool.

had to get in the water for this one and the next. but it was worth it even though it was cold. can't wait to go back and see the leaves change and take this one again.

September 5, 2010 - dAy tHiRTy-fouR

sunday funday. i usually don't like sundays in the mountains because it's usually leaving day. but we had monday still and so it wasn't that bad. had a rather laxidaisy day. hung around with the kids. went to walmart. built another fire. the typical mountain aray of fun...

Lydia's static head from the hammock

view looking up from the hammock

went out to dinner with Mom, Dad, Bird, and Fran...needless to say an interesting time. $1.85 for Labatts Blue. so i had to take a pic

Frederick...not Freddy...

had a fire and went to bed. was tired today from all the drinking fun the day before.

September 4, 2010 - dAy thiRtY-thREE

saturday was a great day. got up early and went for a run. it was really really cold up there. went out running in shorts and a tank. had i not been running i would have frozen my butt off. came back, showered and found this...

holy cuteness batman. i watched as Sara cut the kids nails. funny that you don't think about things like this if you don't have kids. i don't remember my mom cutting my nails, but then i don't remember cutting them myself either. someone must have cut them right?

and then the food...

yum. i love eggs. the incredible edible. stuffed my face and completely nullified my run and then had a makeover with the girls. they are at the age now where makeup is fun...wait...i'm still at that age...

Bird fished for a while. who am i kidding? he fished all day.

he went out and bought a bucket of live bait but one of them died. the girls buried it on the beach and had a little funeral for the 'poor little fish'.

you can't see it very well, but it says "Fish" and then underneath, "RIP". note, it does not say RIP Fish.

more flowers for the fish...

hell of a burial for a 2 inch minnow. they pretended to cry for while. it was quite a show actually. children can be the most dramatic beings. lol.

everyone put on white tees and jeans and we had a photoshoot since we were all beautified.

then i set a timer and jumped in with them. aren't we cute...

wait for it...wait for it...

maybe my favorite pic of all time. love them.

human quadruple layer sandwich...lol good times

my four favorites.

and our view...

i can't even believe how beautiful this place is sometimes. i love it so much up there. the rest of the day was pretty laxidaisy.

Nathaniel and i drove to Williamsport after pics to go the music store for some guitar picks and classical guitar strings, but it was closed. so we drove on to the smoke shop, but it too was closed. bummer. but we did find another smoke shop called "Puffs". very original. i got some cherry flavored swisher sweets to keep the bugs at bay at our little fire later, and Nathaniel got a cigar (can't remember what it was called, only that it was $6 or $7 or something ridiculous like that), and some cloves for Sara.

we ended the night with a campfire and a game of pictionary.

great day.
