thursday. thursday was not very eventful. i was sick. like stay at home sick. no good. got a lot of sleeping done, but not a lot of pictures or blogging. not much else to say really except that i hate being sick. not that i know too many people who enjoy it. come to think of it, i don't know anyone who enjoys being sick...
Bird made spaghetti for dinner...didn't eat much...couldn't taste anything.
the lazy dog that shared the couch with me all day...i think this might be considered upside down, but it's how i took the picture originally...strange what one does while sick...

wednesday. work schmirk. then straight to Manda Panda's for dinner with her and Kimusabi for Kimusabi's day of birth. she made pork tacos. it's a good thing i love tacos...LOL. ate dinner, looked at wedding photos and then watched a movie-something about the Morgans?...can't remember the title. cute movie. one Bird would definitely not watch with me. too girlie for sure. but cute none the less. it was all about sister love...
that and her seriously large cat...22 pounds baby...22 pounds of pure mean...
he did seriously LOVE having his picture taken though...

today i'm thankful that my sister Kim was born. she's like my second mom. so it was a good day! except for the part where i had to go to work. oh, and the part where this is the day i started to feel sick. blargh... so i went to work schmirk and then went home and made tacos! yum... then Bird and i went down to ruffini's to celebrate the new location for open mic on our off tuesdays from the beaver. i prefer ruffini's to the beaver, so this makes me happy. it was also our friend Kenny's b-day. so it was a celebration all around really.
Nicola Ricola and Brady Johnny's eyeball. i told her to come close. wanted a pic of her and Johnny. instead she did what i said literally. so naturally...i took a pic of this ridiculousness.
birthday girl and me. good one Kimusabi.
this is what we look like when we play.
Joe on the guitar.
Tommy on the Dobro. very cool.
and his B.E.A.utiful wife Heidi.
all in all it was a very good time. stopped at wawa on the way home and then crashed. good day.

monday. turns out i kept thinking it was sunday funday and it wasn't. so i called it monday funday and i've finally found a monday that i like. coming home kinda sucked, but at least i wasn't at work. we didn't do much this day either except clean up and get ready for the ride home. found another spider though...
fat juicy little fella. just a daddy-long-legger...but i still like him
drift wood always makes for fun pics...
i decided after a while that i wanted to take a walk. wanted some different pics. some i've never taken before of up there.
idk...some kind of bug skin...looked cool.
had to get in the water for this one and the next. but it was worth it even though it was cold. can't wait to go back and see the leaves change and take this one again.

sunday funday. i usually don't like sundays in the mountains because it's usually leaving day. but we had monday still and so it wasn't that bad. had a rather laxidaisy day. hung around with the kids. went to walmart. built another fire. the typical mountain aray of fun...

Lydia's static head from the hammock
view looking up from the hammock
went out to dinner with Mom, Dad, Bird, and Fran...needless to say an interesting time. $1.85 for Labatts Blue. so i had to take a pic
Frederick...not Freddy...
had a fire and went to bed. was tired today from all the drinking fun the day before.

saturday was a great day. got up early and went for a run. it was really really cold up there. went out running in shorts and a tank. had i not been running i would have frozen my butt off. came back, showered and found this...
holy cuteness batman. i watched as Sara cut the kids nails. funny that you don't think about things like this if you don't have kids. i don't remember my mom cutting my nails, but then i don't remember cutting them myself either. someone must have cut them right?
and then the food...
yum. i love eggs. the incredible edible. stuffed my face and completely nullified my run and then had a makeover with the girls. they are at the age now where makeup is fun...wait...i'm still at that age...
Bird fished for a while. who am i kidding? he fished all day.
he went out and bought a bucket of live bait but one of them died. the girls buried it on the beach and had a little funeral for the 'poor little fish'.
you can't see it very well, but it says "Fish" and then underneath, "RIP". note, it does not say RIP Fish.
more flowers for the fish...
hell of a burial for a 2 inch minnow. they pretended to cry for while. it was quite a show actually. children can be the most dramatic beings. lol.
everyone put on white tees and jeans and we had a photoshoot since we were all beautified.
then i set a timer and jumped in with them. aren't we cute...
wait for it...wait for it...
maybe my favorite pic of all time. love them.
human quadruple layer sandwich...lol good times
my four favorites.
and our view...
i can't even believe how beautiful this place is sometimes. i love it so much up there. the rest of the day was pretty laxidaisy.
Nathaniel and i drove to Williamsport after pics to go the music store for some guitar picks and classical guitar strings, but it was closed. so we drove on to the smoke shop, but it too was closed. bummer. but we did find another smoke shop called "Puffs". very original. i got some cherry flavored swisher sweets to keep the bugs at bay at our little fire later, and Nathaniel got a cigar (can't remember what it was called, only that it was $6 or $7 or something ridiculous like that), and some cloves for Sara.
we ended the night with a campfire and a game of pictionary.
great day.

friday. though it was not chiday. this did not bother me. Kim and i woke up and decided that friday was a good day for laying out in the sun ALL day-except that i didn't get out of bed 'til about noon. we would have too except that it was really hot. the only HOT day that is for the entire weekend. i took quite a few pictures. Bird finally got there and went swimming. had to try out the new spear gun. couldn't find the wali. we think either they moved on to another part of the crick, or someone else speared them. 'Cause while Kim and i laid out, there was another man spear fishing before Bird got there. this, of course, did NOT make Bird happy. the crick belongs to him ya know...and yes...i said crick. get it right!
it was a lazy afternoon really. i played my guitar for a while after the sun had had enough of me. read some of my rolling stones magazine while Kim took a nap, and patiently waited for the arrival of mom, Fran, Sara, Nathaniel, Frederick, Lydia, Anna, and Boogaloo (Alice). oh...and of course....drank some beer while i waited. what did you expect??

i found a really cool spider web. unfortunately, i could not find the spider...so i put this dead one one it and took it's pic. if i was a spider i would want someone to put me back in my web. it was a huge dead spider. i had inhibitions about it the night before. for some reason it gave me the heebee geebees then. not so this morning.
you can see Bird's snorkel in the backround...
ladies and gentlemen...he speared...a sucker...kinda gross actually...
some random's that were very fascinated about how he 'shot' a fish underwater. they were really nice people actually.
sucker up close and personal. slimey little bugger...
the rapids that are actually quite shallow right now. kinda sad really. you can walk across them, which for those of you who have never been there, is not usually very easy to do if at all possible. the tubes would not pass now. one would most likely just get hung up and flipped over and tossed all about in a very non graceful manner. we did not even try.
pebble madness
